With all of the automakers turning to their attention to the electric revolution, the Kia brand has already gotten a head start with many intriguing models. Soon, the all-new 2026 Kia EV3 will be joining the lineup.
Kia EV3 Engine & Performance
There are many details still trickling in about the powertrains that will be offered in the all-new 2026 Kia EV3, but we do have some information. Car shoppers will have a single-motor, front-wheel drive option that will utilize a 58.3 kWh battery. It is expected that the single motor powertrain will produce 206 pound-feet of torque.
Customers can also expect to see an all-wheel drive, dual-motor option, but there has yet to be a lot of information dropped about that choice. The Kia brand has also stated that the EV3 is expected to go from zero to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds. You can expect the top speed to be 105 mph.
Kia EV3 Range
One of the concerns that many folks have about EVs is that they won't work as more than their daily commuter to nearby Lompoc, CA because of the range. There have been many updates in the past several years to the batteries in the cars, as well as the infrastructure surrounding charging stations, that has made these concerns a thing of the past.
For example, the Kia EV3 is now expected to have a driving range of up to an EPA-estimated 372 miles on a single charge. Whether you are going to nearby San Luis Obispo, CA or on a long road trip, you will get there easily when you are behind the wheel of this all-new Kia EV.
Additionally, the Kia EV3 will have regenerative braking, which will charge the battery while you are driving and make your daily travels more efficient. When using one of the DC Fast Charging stations, you can charge this vehicle up to 80% in about 31 minutes.
