Considered the Telluride of electric vehicles, the 2021 Kia EV9 has begun production in South Korea, with North American production slated for 2023. You may have seen the concept version when it was revealed at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, but you can expect production models available in Santa Maria as soon as spring 2023. In the meantime, here is what you can expect from the 2023 Kia EV9.

Power For Miles

The Kia KIA EV9 is expected to offer rear-wheel and an all-wheel drive option. The AWD will pack a punch thanks to dual electric motors and Kia's most powerful battery packs. Drivers can expect up to 300 miles per charge. The battery can be fully charged from 10-80% within 30 minutes when using a rapid-charging station. We're happy to show you available charging stations throughout San Luis Obispo and how to use them.

Cargo and Passengers

Like the Telluride, the Kia EV9 offers third-row seating for Santa Barbara families. The floors are flat, thanks to the electric motor, and the cabin is just as spacious as the Telluride despite a slightly smaller exterior length. Passengers can adjust the amount of natural light pouring in from the panoramic sunroof as they recline in seats that are made from sustainable materials.

Interior Features and Technology

A 27-inch infotainment hub and a floating screen instrument panel give the Kia EV9 a high-concept look and feel as you drive around Lompoc. Surprisingly, the production model is nearly identical to the concept. This means you can expect pop-up steering and interior features that are similar to the Kia EV6.

Styling

The 2024 Kia EV9 looks like a mid-size SUV. With an anticipated 122-inch wheelbase and 70-inch height, the Kia EV9 is every bit a futuristic vehicle with the rugged feel of a high-torque ICE SUV.
